(...) This richly illustrated book pays tribute to the subjective approach that is the key to the inner coherence of Gotthard Schuh's visual universe - what he himself called a loving approach. In addition to the presentation of his main reportages, the emphasis is on the subtle eroticism, but also on the melancholy and existential sadness that permeate his work.
