Present Perfect

Brigitte Grignet has been photographing for more than fifteen years, in a classic and contrasted square black and white, both her wanderings on trips and her social subjects, current events, specific human situations. Her approach is both direct and tender, very sensitive, but above all, it shows a demand for the eye and a quality of writing through light that are quite recognisable and which are the signature of the very great authors in photography. With a strong emphasis on Latin America (Chile, Patagonia...), the book includes images gleaned in other contexts, both in Belgium and abroad, in a flexible to-and-fro between here and elsewhere, between the outside and the inside.
