« It was in 1977, when the newspaper Libération, like the rest of daily press, only ever published black and white pictures. (…) Bizos already was the artist whose signature would soon be found inActuel, another monument of a different kind of working at rejuvenating the landscape of the French press, which had been at a standstill since 1945. Wide-angle photography, that he would later use to broaden the world our eyes can grasp, now donned unreal tints, nearly cinematographic, thanks to an alliance, a struggle, a mix between natural and artificial light. And the flash stroke, hand controlled with pinpoint precision, pointed at the objects victimised as it froze them in terrible clarity. »
