Bango is a project founded by the artist José Ramón Bas in Brazzaville (Republic of Congo) and Kinshasa (Republic Democratic of Congo) under the patronage of the Almayuda Foundation, in collaboration with the Salisa Africa Foundation, in which children from various centers made a wish on a blackboard, totally spontaneously.
The word "bango" comes from Lingala, the official African language in both Congos : it means "They" and, this name seeks to honour the true protagonist : the children themselves.
Part of the sales of this book will go to the street children and orphans supported by the Fundación Almayuda in Brazzaville and Kinshasa.
