Darya Histoire d’une badante ukrainienne

 Darya, from Ukraine, begins her day at 6:30 am in the small apartment where she works as a caregiver – badante – to four elderly sisters. It is estimated that there are more than 1.3 million foreign caretakers in Italy, most of them women, who have left their countries and families. With her usual empathy, Jane Evelyn Atwood has chosen to show their living and working conditions, following Darya from morning to night in an unchanging daily routine.
