A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Grenoble (ENSA Grenoble) in 2003, François Lallemand founded SQUARE in 2005 with the ambition of creating a humanist architecture, conceived as a breathing space within the city and a place for human interaction. Initially recognized for the quality of its renovation projects, the firm reached a major turning point in 2009 when it won the competition for the Pasteur block in Fontvieille, marking its expansion into large-scale developments and public facilities.

Leading a multidisciplinary team, François Lallemand embraces a comprehensive approach to design, encompassing urban planning, landscape architecture, and design. A pioneer in the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) as early as 2013, he combines technical expertise, innovation, and architectural sensitivity to create sustainable, functional spaces that meet contemporary needs. This methodology enables him to address the complexity of each project while placing quality of life and urban integration at the heart of his practice.
