Mathieu Pernot, born in 1970, lives and works in Paris and Barcelona. Whether through his own photographic practice or through the appropriation of pre-existing images, archival documents, or even a style borrowed from applied photography, he explores the diversity of modes of photographic representation. By addressing issues such as exclusion, confinement, and urban planning, his approach is firmly rooted in political photography. The collection co-published by 779 and the Société Française de Photographie offers photographers the opportunity to publish an overview of their recent work. These monographs explore the diversity of contemporary photography while giving a privileged place to images.
