Presentation of the publisher:
"In 2001, thanks to a grant from the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat, Gerry Johansson travelled to the inaccessible and unique landscapes of Antarctica during a two-month research stay.
He had brought with him on this trip a large-format camera and his great curiosity. The series of images that resulted from this journey is an unusual but relevant perspective of reality, and captures the close relationship between physicality and nature. This series was exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2003."
A very beautiful formal research on shapes and contrasts, and at the same time an ode to the mineral beauties of these landscapes and this unspoilt and immaculate nature.
